About the role
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Chemical Batch Process Operator is responsible for using FIFO consumption of all chemical and supply lots.
- Chemical Batch Process Operator shall be capable of IAing batch components, and RBing finished liquids.
- Chemical Batch Process Operator is responsible for safely transferring chemicals from and to necessary locations and ensuring that appropriate chemical inventory transactions are done accordingly.
- Chemical Batch Process Operator shall safely adhere to required FDA regulations, Nice-Pak SOPs, and WI's. Compounder shall assist in creating and or revising SOPs and WI's.
- Chemical Batch Process Operator is responsible for maintaining clean areas in the chemical warehouse and in the entire compounding department, and areas under and around liquid tanks not directly connected to the compounding area, each shift shall present a clean department to the next shift.
- Chemical Batch Process Operator shall maintain proper storage of all chemicals.
- Chemical Batch Process Operator is responsible for taking empty drums from the compounding department/chemical warehouse to the empty drum trailer and neatly stacking the empty drums in the drum trailer, then record the transaction on Drum Truck Loading Log. Place empty skids in appropriate warehouse locations.
- Chemical Batch Process Operator shall exact all ISO and cGMP Nice-Pak work instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Chemical Batch Process Operators shall at times be responsible for safely handling hazardous chemicals, i.e., Hydrochloric Acid and Sodium Hydroxide, and be responsible for adhering to appropriate Material Safety Data Sheets, SOPs, and labeling procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experience with compounding or batching liquids preferred
- 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment following cGMP regulations, SOP and Work Instructions.
- Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Functional experience working in a fast pace, time-sensitive environment
- Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational skills such as multitasking and prioritizing work functions.
- Solid analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
- Must be able to pass a series of tests related to Compounding duties.
- Must be physically capable of performing job
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Handles conflicts in a professional manner
- Willing to work overtime and weekends as required
- Willing to train on CGMP requirements and company policies and procedures
