About the team 

 

Building on SAP's intelligent enterprise strategy, the Business Process Intelligence team’s mission is to assist our customers in navigating digital transformation and help them understand and improve their business processes in a data-driven way. Together, with the acquisition of Signavio, a recognized and strong market leader in the process excellence and intelligence area, we are creating a comprehensive, end-to-end Business Process Intelligence (BPI) offering for our customers! Our purpose is to help our customers innovate in an ever-changing world.

Product Exploration: Not only is the BPI market relatively new, but it is also rapidly growing and evolving.  Discovering product opportunities and de-risking them upfront is a key component of our unit's future success. The Innovation Office & Strategic Projects (IOSP) team focuses on product exploration, i.e., what to build next. We conduct market and product research, drive strategic projects, discover customer problems, and validate novel ideas along the lines of feasibility, desirability, and viability.

 

What you'll do: 

Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - Product Strategy, Innovation Office & Strategic Projects

Location: Newport Beach, CA

Expected Start Date: March 2024

Contract Duration: 3 months

 

In this role you'll: 

 

• Actively drive research on market trends, key competitors, and product developments of the business process intelligence and customer experience industry
• Develop thoughtful conclusions and key takeaways from complex, mostly qualitative data derived from a range of often-conflicting sources
• Conduct knowledge exchange sharing sessions and communicate recent insights to cross-functional audiences of peers and executives
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders from product strategy, product management and product marketing teams to influence product positioning
• Strategize and streamline the market intelligence operation from research to content delivery
• Provide product strategy support to product leadership teams and innovation projects

• Bachelor's degree, Master's/MBA preferred
• Strong communication & presentation skills
• A growth mindset, driven by intellectual curiosity
• Proven track record of conducting market research, synthesizing information, and communicating effectively
• Good analytical thinking skills, a team player with autonomy
• Experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, Product Strategy, Market Research, and/or Management Consulting
