Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor | Deer Valley


As a Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the night shift warehouse team, ensuring the efficient and safe handling, storage, and distribution of materials and supplies. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, optimizing storage and resources, and driving operational excellence through process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, handling, issuance, disposal, and loading of materials and supplies to ensure seamless daily operations.
Inventory Accuracy: Maintain accurate inventory levels through rigorous monitoring, tracking, and reporting, minimizing discrepancies.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulatory compliance to protect employees, materials, and equipment.
Union Workforce Management: Effectively lead a team of union personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive environment while respecting union protocols and ensuring compliance.
Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service by ensuring timely and accurate processing and distribution of materials.
Process Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing initiatives to enhance warehouse processes.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and empower warehouse staff, fostering engagement and accountability to drive performance and job satisfaction.

• Are adept at inventory management and resource optimization to ensure smooth and cost-effective warehouse operations.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to process improvement and problem-solving within dynamic work environments.
• Have a strong understanding of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and best practices in warehouse operations.
• Excel in delivering customer-focused solutions with a commitment to timeliness and accuracy.

Minimum Requirements

 

• High school diploma/GED
• Three (3) years' experience in warehouse operations.
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of material handling equipment, safety guidelines, and warehouse management systems and processes.
• Experience with organized labor unions is desirable.
• Familiarity with the union contract and APS company policies and procedures is desirable.

 

Major Accountabilities

1) Directs the daily activities of warehouse personnel by optimizing workloads, resources and customer service through cost effective and efficient work planning.

• Influences others on operational issues of day-to-day significance.
• Resolves operational or technical issues within functional area.

2) Maintains proper internal controls across inventory, safety, material handling equipment, and warehouse operating policies and procedures
