Geotechnical Engineering Practice Leader

Pennoni is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Geotechnical Engineering Practice Leader to join the team in our New York City office with experience consistent, but not limited to:
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide and manage geotechnical engineering and CMT services, including investigations, analysis, engineering evaluation, recommendations, reports, etc. on commercial, institutional, industrial and public works infrastructure projects.
- Service external clients as well as internal clients with other divisions working on multi-discipline engineering projects. Oversee construction inspection and materials testing (CMT) projects.
- Independently develop engineering proposals and reports as well as perform quality reviews of proposals and reports developed by other staff. Develop and maintain business.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff.
Required Attributes:
- Strong technical base in geotechnical engineering.
- Honesty, integrity, dependable and punctual.
- Ability to help mentor and develop staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work individually as well as part of a team.
- Strong technical base in construction oversight.
- Ability to help bring in new business/clients as well as maintain existing clients.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience with deep foundations and SOE designs.
- Experience with geotechnical techniques such as ground improvement, rigid inclusions, helical piles, deep dynamic compaction, chemical and cement grouting.
- Experience with geophysical investigation methods (GPR, EM, Seismic, Resistivity).
Salary Range:
$140K - $180K per year.
