TWB - Maintenance Technician (Automation) – 1st Shift, Canton, MI
Location: Canton, MI
Shift: 1st Shift (5:00am – 5:00pm, continental schedule)
Pay Range: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
Position Summary
TWB Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Automation) to support our 1st shift operations. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain advanced manufacturing equipment, including mechanical systems, electrical components, and PLC-controlled machinery.
This position is ideal for a technician with strong electrical and troubleshooting experience who enjoys working hands-on with complex equipment and continuing to grow their technical skills.

Schedule
- 12-hour shifts (5:00am – 5:00pm)
- Continental 2-2-3-2 schedule - Alternating 36-hour and 48-hour work weeks
- Built-in long weekends every other week
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
- Diagnose issues with PLC-controlled equipment and interpret ladder logic
- Perform preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability and performance
- Complete mechanical repairs and equipment adjustments
- Accurately document work in the maintenance management system
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints
- Basic computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic experience
- HMI programming or interface experience
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience using electrical meters and diagnostic tools
Work Environment & Requirements
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- May require Lockout/Tagout, fall protection, and confined space training
May require CPR/First Aid certification
