Summary of Job Duties:

The Orthopedic & Spine Hospital (TOSH), UAMS Health’s brand-new surgical hospital, is looking for passionate patient care technicians who are ready to join a team that’s redefining quality care. The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a trained member of the unit-based team who supports the ongoing delivery of care as identified by the multidisciplinary Patient Management Team. The PCT works under the direct supervision of the R.N. and performs tasks and duties which do not require a license, professional judgment, or intervention. The PCT must pass the required competencies. The PCT works within the Department of Nursing standards. The PCT adheres to UAMS clinical programs, policies, procedures, standards, and guest care guidelines.
This position will also be cross-trained as an IA, the face of the nursing unit who serves to greet each and every guest, making them feel welcome and helping to keep them informed.
