About you and this role:

Dow has an exciting opportunity for an EH&S Regional Delivery Manager located in Midland, MI.

In this role, you will support Dow’s Consumer Solutions Business as the Environmental Delivery Manager aligned to the Michigan Operations site located in Midland, MI.

You will lead the Dow Michigan Operations site in federal environmental compliance and implementation of the management systems in one of multiple fields including but not limited to environmental, air, water to maintain the license to operate for the site and Great Lakes Hub. Responsibilities may also include health & safety, industrial hygiene, and waste management, as needed. This role requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.

This role enables you to strengthen your influential skills while building strong technical capabilities and engineering fundamentals. You will work across departments to ensure ongoing compliance of complex chemical operations while applying a strong owner's mindset. Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the federal regulatory subject matter expert and trainer for related environmental information on sitewide procedures, guidelines, and standards.
  • Strong knowledge of EH&S Standards with an emphasis on environmental regulation.
  • Leads Environmental compliance, implementation of environmental management systems, and maintains the license to operate for the Michigan Operations site.
  • Performs regular reviews of environmental documentation, coordinates data collection, and submits agency reports to ensure consistency and compliance is met.
  • Performs data collection and reporting for environmental compliance data including production and emissions reporting.
  • Supports in submittals of permit applications for new and modified equipment, requests for permit changes, and submittal of permit renewal applications.
  • Leads environmental performance improvements of the site, hub, and business.
  • Leads the sitewide implementation and/or facility specific implementations for new or revised environmental programs or regulations.
  • Participates in incident investigations and the corrective action process for EH&S issues and opportunities.
  • Leads or participates in environmental-related reviews and projects to evaluate proposed facility changes from production personnel, R&D personnel, and the continuous improvement organization.
  • Works closely with Operations Personnel to ensure environmental data collection, monitoring, and operating discipline are strong and compliant with Dow or Regulatory requirements.
  • Key contributor in sitewide and/or facility EH&S teams.
  • Participates and provides data for Environmental inspections and audits, both internal and external to Dow.
  • Participates in the EH&S On-Call program.
  • Manages permits including submittal of permit applications for new and modified equipment, requests for permit changes, requests for performance testing, and submittal of permit renewal applications.
  • Coaches, trains, and mentors EH&S Specialists and EH&S Technicians.
  • Performs site or plant gap assessments around EH&S work process implementation.
  • Develops, reviews, monitors, creates, and delivers training as appropriate.
  • Supports Dow’s Sustainability Initiatives and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) programs.


Preferred Skills:

  • Engineering, Science-related, or other technical degrees
  • Familiarity with specific plant regulatory requirements including but not limited to Miscellaneous Organic NESHAP (MON), Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT), Title V Permits, Hazardous Organic NESHAP (HON), Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting, TCFD, LDAR, etc.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking OR
