PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

OVERVIEW OF POSITION / DEPARTMENT
The Quality Assurance Analyst, as a civilian (or career service) member of the Aurora Police Department (APD), is responsible for collecting, coordinating, and synthesizing information from multiple sources to assist in the completion of quality assurance tasks and projects. They will work directly with members of the Quality Assurance team to drive continuous improvement initiatives and increase departmental effectiveness through data gathering/input, process evaluation, and other administrative tasks.

The hiring range for this position is $65,096.00 - $81,370.00 annually. This annoucmenet is set to close February 14th, 2025 11:59pm.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as the QA Analyst for the monitoring, reporting on, and measuring of policy and procedural initiatives within the department.

  • Collects and prepares qualitative and quantitative data from various sources to be used for quality assurance deliverables to key stakeholders. 

  • Manages project-related administrative resources by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly organized, and accessible.

  • Contributes to APD’s self-assessment, self-correcting, and accountability mechanisms post-Consent Decree through developed Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and fostering of relationships with all APD stakeholders.

  • Contributes to development and execution of in-person policy compliance assessments to determine opportunities for improvement and risk management.

  • Assists in the formulation, recommendation, and implementation of policy and operations improvements or modifications.

  • Participates in recurring policy development meetings as requested, to help develop policies from a quality assurance perspective.

  • Complies with Standards Section timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure that responsibilities to stakeholders are completed timely and at the highest level of quality.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & WORKING CONDITIONS

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

Education: 

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: 

  • At least two years of project coordination, administrative, analytical, law enforcement, or community service experience in a professional setting.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working on project teams in a professional environment.
