Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Director of New Student Programs. The Assistant Director manages all new student parent and family transition programs. The main focus is welcoming our newest Golden Eagles and assuring they are connected to the appropriate resources. The role accomplishes these goals primarily through our comprehensive Golden Eagle Orientation programs, Parent and Family connection and support programs, and engaging our students in support initiatives throughout their first year Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible leadership experience in new student and orientation programs, student success, transition programs, or orientation management at a college or university.
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Experience developing, organizing, and administering budgets.
  • Experience in formulating student outreach initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in new student and orientation programs, student success or transition programs at a college or university.
  • Experience managing a budget over $50,000.
  • 2+ years of direct professional supervisory experience.
  • Strong management of multiple functional areas and organization of institutional resources to meet goals and objectives.
Work Schedule: M-F Varied Salary and Benefits: The Minimum Salary for this position is $63,251.
