We are hiring a Wireless Integration Engineer to support a federal government customer located in Ashburn, VA. This is a new position on a contract that is growing. Currently, this position is hybrid with 2-3 days or as-needed basis on site. Candidates need to be located within daily commuting distance of Ashburn, VA. Travel up to 25%-50% of time should be expected.

Responsibilities
- Experience with integration LTE, satellite and other wireless technologies voice/video/data with private networks to support mobile tactical operations.
- Familiarity with mission critical communications requirements and design.
- Experience with modernization of mobile communications systems, including leveraging new technologies to enhance performance, expand coverage and introduce new capabilities.
- Familiarity with the technologies and concepts integral to wireless communication systems with a demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering problems related to such systems.
- Experience building and testing proof of concept mobile communications solutions in a lab environment.
- Familiarity with the acquisition lifecycle, including cost, schedule, procurement management, and vendor management.
- Familiarity with RF component integration and specification / communications shelter and cabinet layouts; system performance validation including field testing.
- Experience with mobile link budgets, microwave path analysis, and mobile coverage analysis, using computer simulation and data analysis tools.
- Experience creating and presenting technical recommendations and input into white papers, analysis reports, or executive briefings.
- Familiarity deploying and supporting mobile communications systems in the field, ability to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues.
- Experience documenting configurations in network diagrams and overall system topologies.
Qualifications
- Education BS in Electrical, Computer or Network Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Excellent demonstratable written, inter-personal communications and management skills
- Experience gathering customer requirements and determining practical solutions
- Experience managing vendors and projects
- Experience supporting multi-mode wireless transport and routing of IP data through gateways, switches and routers
- Experience with design of commercial and private wireless technologies
- Experience using electronic test equipment
Security Clearance / Background Investigation
- Must be able to pass a DHS/CBP Tier 4 background investigation
