About the role

Labcorp seeks an experienced strategic insights professional to join its Global Market Insights team. The Director of Global Insights will develop and lead programs that generate executive level insights and answer critical research questions that connect customer needs with market opportunities.

The successful candidate will work with stakeholders across Diagnostics, Biopharma Laboratory Services, Oncology, Corporate Strategy, M&A, Technology and Data products, and other business-critical areas. This individual should have strong analytical skills (qualitative and quantitative) ; an aptitude for problem-solving and strategic thinking, and the ability to proactively develop and drive insights programs that influence leadership decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

Market Intelligence

  • Work within different business lines to provide ongoing market understanding and proactive insights support.

  • Proactive market surveillance: Leverage market and customer data to initiate monitoring strategies and strategic deep dives for ongoing market observation.

  • Ability to make connections between customer insights, and market and business trends that cut across our organization.

  • Distill executive-level ready insights from numerous data sets and sources.

  • Develop new and innovative ways to generate data, monitor, and track our markets.

  • Ability to field proactive outreach from executives.

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with impending timelines.

  • Triangulate qualitative and quantitative data with key industry market trends

Stakeholder Management

  • Build information-sharing networks and leverage primary research capabilities to gain insights from key partners.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set objectives, support prioritization of strategic initiatives in current and new markets and recommend strategy revisions.

  • Support executive and business segment leaders’ strategic planning events, including offsites, workshops, competitive simulations/war games, etc.

  • Become trusted business partner

Experience

Key Competencies:

  • Analytical skills that can generate executive-level insights, not just data points

  • Ability to perform and develop qualitative and quantitative market analysis leveraging industry best practices.

  • Experience building and communicating market sizing

  • Data visualization and storytelling capabilities

  • Ability to communicate insights at a leadership level.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple key stakeholders

  • Ability to cohesively manage multiple different content areas.

  • Ability to set priorities and own multiple projects concurrently

  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate thought leadership.

  • Demonstrated Initiative, be detail-oriented and highly organized.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.

  • Direct experience with primary and secondary market research, segmentation, and competitive intelligence.

Experience/Skills:

  • 12-15+ years of work experience in a strategic insights capacity

  • Experience in one of the following is a plus: healthcare, payor, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, medical device, or drug development industry.

  • Understanding of business operations and how customer data serves as the engine for various cross-functional business decisions.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

  • Experience with other analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Strong record of team collaboration in a matrixed environment.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in a business- or marketing-specific program.

  • Understanding of key industry databases (e.g., UpToDate, clinicaltrials.gov, Informa suite, Definitive Health).

Pay Range: $138,000 – 196,000
