Sr. Pricing and Packaging Manager

The Basics:

We're seeking a motivated individual to join the Packaging & Pricing team in the Finance & Operations function at Tanium. You are a strategic problem solver, thrive at building monetization strategies for SaaS IT Operations, Security and Risk products, and enjoy a fast-paced & high-growth environment. Your role will be pivotal in creating strategy and delivering on long-term growth for our products. 

This position follows the Company’s hybrid schedule which currently requires employees to work in the office at one of the following locations a minimum of three days per week: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.

What you’ll do:

• Partner with product team to identify & prioritize products & offers to be packaged and priced
• Lead pricing & packaging programs/SPIFFs to increase revenue and growth, capitalize on strengths and mitigate challenges for products
• Deliver programs from concept to test, and to launch, owning every step along the way driving consensus from multiple teams
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative customer research to test strategy hypotheses, validate customer's willingness to pay and product positioning
• Research buyer motivations, analyze performance data and market trends to drive frequent iteration of pricing for Tanium’s products
• Provide expertise to teams on pricing metrics, pricing & packaging strategies and frameworks. Ensure consistency across the entire product portfolio
•  Partner with Finance, Legal, and key constituents to deliver pricing and packaging programs that adheres to best practice methodologie

We’re looking for someone with:

• SaaS pricing experience in IT Operations, Security and Risk/Compliance product area is a MUST
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience
•  Finance/data-analytics background and MBA is preferable.
• Experience executing on monetization strategies for Enterprise SaaS and/or Infrastructure companies in related industries.
• Excellent data analytics skills. Expert in Excel, Domo, Big Query or other business applications for data collection and statistical analysis.
• Customer focused, seeking a deep understanding of target users and are adept at understanding their problems and arriving at elegant solutions to those problems.
• Great presentation, communication and influence skills that tell a cohesive story and drive consensus to decision making across a diverse environment.
• Self-directed, highly motivated to deliver discernible impact on the business.
• Have business planning acumen and an insatiable appetite for data and insights
• You possess excellent ability to prioritize independently, overcome blockers, create clarity and move forward even in ambiguous circumstances
