Job Title: Vice President, Business Development – ERP

We are seeking a highly motivated Vice President, Business Development to join our team, specializing in identifying and qualifying opportunities within the government sector, with expertise with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, specifically Workday or Oracle Peoplesoft. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of shepherding new opportunities from identification through to win.
Key Responsibilities:
- Qualification and Pipeline Development:
- Successfully develop net new ERP business within the federal space. Preferred experience winning full and open work.
- Qualify leads and opportunities based on established criteria and strategic objectives, opportunities with a focus on ERP (Workday and Oracle Peoplesoft).
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities within the Federal sector.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within target agencies.
- Expertise creating relationships with vendors and building on those relationships over time
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, challenges, and strategic priorities.
- Proposal Development Support:
- Collaborate with proposal teams to develop compelling, compliant, and competitive proposals.
- Provide input on technical and business strategies to enhance proposal success rate.
- Market Intelligence and Strategy Development:
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activities impacting the Federal sector.
- Contribute to the development of business development strategies and plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Networking and Industry Engagement:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities relevant to the Federal sector and National Security domain.
- Build and maintain a professional network of contacts to support business development efforts.
- Market Research and Opportunity Identification:
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of the Federal market landscape.
- Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, including contracts, partnerships, and collaborations.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience/Skills:
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in business development within the Federal sector, with a focus on ERP systems.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying, qualifying, and capturing new business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of Federal procurement processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Salary and Benefit Information:
The likely salary range for this position is $200,000 - $275,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
