Primary Responsibilities:

• As a Refrigeration technician, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems in our distribution facility
• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration systems, ensuring they operate at optimal efficiency
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance checks on all refrigeration units and systems, including HVAC
• Troubleshoot and repair problems with refrigeration systems and their electrical controls
• As a Refrigeration technician you will use your knowledge of AC/DC, wiring, and calibration to maintain and repair equipment
• Work with pneumatics to maintain and repair refrigeration systems
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and quickly diagnose and fix problems to minimize downtime
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and safety standards
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work
• Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure all refrigeration needs are met
• Continuously update professional knowledge and learn about new products and features

 

Education/Background Requirements:

 

• 1 year of industrial maintenance experience education preferred not required (I.E. possess industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school)
• Preferred 1 year of working experience as a Refrigeration Technician, willing to train the right candidate

 

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

•  Certification and 3-5 years experience as RETA Operator 1
• Proven experience with AC/DC, Electrical Troubleshooting, Pneumatics, Wiring, Calibration, Cooling, and Electrical Controls
• HVAC background

 

Working Conditions:

 

• Working in a refrigerated warehouse
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including Holidays and weekends when needed
