About the role
This firm is seeking to engage a qualified Quality Control Manager (QCM) to support ongoing airport construction activities at Washington Dulles International Airport. The selected candidate will be responsible for the implementation, management, and execution of the project’s Quality Control Program in accordance with contract documents, applicable codes, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute the project-specific Quality Control Plan in accordance with contract specifications and applicable standards.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and documentation to verify that all materials, workmanship, and construction methods comply with approved submittals and contract requirements.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Superintendent, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed quality control records, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance documentation, utilizing appropriate computer software and reporting tools.
- Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up meetings as part of the USACE Three-Phase Control System.
- Ensure that quality assurance and safety protocols are integrated and maintained throughout the construction process.
- Prepare and submit all required quality control reports and correspondence to the client and internal management as directed.
Qualifcations
- Minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience in airport construction or comparable large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience in civil and electrical construction; medium voltage electrical experience preferred.
- Proficient in the use of standard computer applications for documentation, reporting, and communication.
- Possession of a valid U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Quality Control Management (QCM) Certificate is required prior to hire. (The certificate may be obtained through the USACE online training course; completion is a precondition of employment.)
- Strong communication, organizational, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to perform full-time, on-site duties at Washington Dulles International Airport (Reston, VA).
- U.S. work authorization required.
