Position Summary
To maintain a continuous supply of raw materials to the Marblehead Plant, including from the Underground and barge unloading, and inspect mobile equipment as required. Stock Truck Driver reports to the Logistics Manager. This position is on 2nd shift at our Marblehead, IL facility.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining compliance with the Huber Sustainability Management Systems (HSMS), within his/her sphere of influence. This may or may not include compliance with any air permits, waste water permits, storm water permits, or other rules as presented to the employee as requirements.
Potentially Significant EH&S Impact(s): In charge of monitoring their equipment for visible emissions, immediate shut down of equipment with visible emissions and reporting emissions to their Manager. Additionally, report all spills, incidents, and near hits to their Manager, and input into Enablon.
1. Provide sufficient raw materials in the correct time frame to avoid any loss of production due to lack of material. Raw materials are hauled from the underground to the plant. Capabilities of driving automatic and manual transmission vehicles are required.
2. Operate a forklift to load and unload super sacks onto and off a flatbed trailer.
3. Operate a front-end loader to load raw material into the dump truck.
4. Perform minor maintenance and preventative maintenance on vehicles / mobile equipment pertinent to this job. Tasks would include but not be limited to things such as filling wiper fluid, headlight changes, lubrication, etc.
5. Provide on-site transportation of material in process when necessary.
6. Provide transportation of various goods to and from the underground warehouse when necessary.
7. Track super sack movement from underground to plant to ensure inventory accuracy.
8. Maintain load sheets of crude from underground to plant to ensure inventory accuracy.
9. Operate skid steer and transport to underground.
10. Clean up spills of raw materials when necessary
11. Could move drop trailers from lot to docks, and docks to lot.
12. Cross train and become qualified as a Shipper to cover / backfill as necessary.
13. Move and spot railcars.
14. Employees must learn and observe applicable company policies and safe practices and perform all duties assigned by supervisors. This description covers the significant duties of the job but may not include occasional assignments which would be within the evaluation of this job.
15. Clean mobile equipment to keep in good order.
16. Follow ISO 9001 guidelines and supports the quality management system.
17. May require some manual labor and additional duties in production as needed.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must maintain a class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must maintain MSHA certification.
• Complete and maintain IATA, IMDG, and DOT certification.
• Must learn to safely operate dump trucks, end loaders, tractor trailer, forklift, skid steer loader, flatbed truck, pickup, and maintain applicable certifications and licenses.
• Willing and able to work and act safely.
• Must be able to perform mathematical calculations including: multiplication, addition, percentages (can be accomplished using a calculator or manually).
• Must be able to communicate both written and verbally with all levels to include management, peers, vendors, and plant personnel.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety policy manuals, SOP’s, SDS, and various production schedules/reports.
Physical Requirements
• Normally working in/on mobile equipment, but occasionally involved in manual labor.
• Walking on uneven surfaces when walking in work area(s).
• Sometimes exposed to heat, cold, inclement weather, noise, vibration, spillage of various materials, liquid ammonia lignin sulfonate, grease, oil, diesel fuel and gasoline, potential ground product/raw material spillage.
