Job Summary

As the General Manager of Concessions you will be responsible for leading the Concessions Management team, assisting the Director of Concessions with day to day operations, and leading the Concessions team to deliver an exceptional experience at Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. This role requires strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and a dedication to upholding quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership and guidance to the Concessions Management teams, ensuring compliance and adherence to Levy quality standards.
  • Conducts progressive coaching, corrective actions, and terminations of hourly team members
  • Assists with department recruiting for hourly positions for the Concessions department including reviewing applications, interviewing, and making offers to hourly team members with oversight from Director of Concessions.
  • Conducts training and mentorship to Concessions Management and Supervisor team
  • Forecasts labor needs and manage scheduling to meet event and attendance demands
  • Overseeing purchasing and inventory management with Director of Concessions.
  • Supervise operations during events, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring seamless guest experience.
  • Collaborates with other departments to improve operational efficiency and meet operation project deadlines.
  • Proactively engages in processes for loss prevention; ensures compliance with POS systems, inventory management, and polling.
  • Manages cash handling procedures, including cash drops/collection, variance logs, tip reporting, and payroll for Concessions hourly team members.
  • Works closely with Culinary and purchasing teams to optimize offerings and maximize profitability.
  • Implements training and maintains compliance to ensure team members adhere to Responsible Alcohol Service protocols; Completion and processing of alcohol incident logs; ensures appropriate signage is placed.
  • Addresses guest complaints, feedback, and incidents promptly and effectively, following required reporting protocols.
  • Complete monthly department safety inspections and ensures compliance with safety regulations; ensures compliance safety and sanitation regulations
  • Support other properties and departments as needed to meet business demands.
  • Subcontractor communications – ensures all paperwork is completed correctly and submitted, scheduled properly, staffing has completed required trainings and certifications.
  • Completes event walks of the building.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in food and beverage and/or sports & entertainment operational role
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership position preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management preferred
  • Requires operational management experience with purchasing knowledge
  • Excellent communication and computer skills are needed, including knowledge of MS office products.
  • ServSafe Alcohol Certification, ServSafe food handler certification, and/or Tilte 4 may be required. 

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Some sedentary work including sitting in office at computer
  • Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent ascending/descending stairs
