What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Software Engineer – UX Design?
- Develop a deep understanding of how data moves throughout the organization on both the client and business sides
- Work with project management, technology, client service, and sales to design and help develop new features for our client facing web application, Canvas
- Design and develop cloud-native solutions in C# and SQL to promote consistency of use of the Firmwide data platform across numerous analytical tools
- Create wireframes and user flow diagrams in order to help all departments visualize how updates to the website will impact users
- Help drive a technology strategy with increased levels of automation to reduce risk and enhance data quality and associated controls
- Develop innovative high-quality UX/UI designs that adhere to brand guidelines and ensure consistency across the full user experience
- Take ownership of projects and influence decision-making
What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Advanced C# and SQL experience required
- 5+ years of experience as a software developer and designer
- Strong portfolio of successful projects
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma
- Excellent communication skills to be able to interact with a wide range of users ranging from very technical (quants) to non-technical
- Experience with equity products and associated market data is preferred

Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $160,000 and $185,000.
