Resource Development Generalist

Description

Primary responsibilities include providing support and expertise to the Resource Development in fundraising efforts, including individual, corporate, foundation, and government funders. Develops relationships with private, family, and corporate foundations. Prepares grant proposal and supporting documents. Displays responsible, professional, and administrative work in researching, identifying, developing funding opportunities in the areas of Education, Human Services, and Real Estate Development. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Researches, identifies, and builds relationships with potential individual, corporate, government,

and foundation funders.

Generates proposals and supporting documents in response to solicitations.

Generates revenues for agency programs and services through detailed grant proposals, and

fundraising efforts.

Maintains and implements fund raising calendar activities, including cultivation activities.

Maintains fundraising databases with the most up to date data.

Writes reports to government, foundations, and other funders.

Acts as liaison with program staff.

Meet with program directors to understand programs’ wants and needs, and in collaboration with program

directors, brainstorm ideas for additional funding sources.

Manage special projects as needed.

Support the development efforts of the organization.

Completes other duties as assigned by VP of Resource Development.

Requirements

Extensive experience foundation and government grant writing with a track record of success.

Experience in developing relationships with individual, corporate, foundations with success in

securing gifts.

Highly organized individual adept at efficiently managing tasks, resources, and information, ensuring

smooth operations, optimal productivity, and the ability to consistently meet deadlines and exceed

expectations.

A high level of computer literacy required, including familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, Outlook,

and web search.

Ability to effectively work under pressure.

Strong ability to synthesize complex or diverse information.

Proficient in collecting and researching data from various sources.

Utilize intuitive thinking and extensive experience to complement effectively.

Proven ability to design efficient and streamlined workflows and procedures to enhance operational

effectiveness and maximize productivity.
