This Role is Tailor-Made for You Because:
You are an experienced accountant proficient in various accounting functions including, but not limited to, general ledger account analysis and reconciliation, preparation and recording of journal entries, and monitoring of intercompany transactions and financial reporting. On any given day, you will collaborate with local and international finance teams, local tax teams, and external auditors to ensure the books are closed accurately and on time. You are detailed-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.A Day in the Life:
The Senior Corporate Accountant will be a member of the Corporate Accounting Team, focusing on all accounting functions, supporting co-sourced accounting teams, statutory audits, and financial reporting. Areas of responsibility includes:
- Monthly Close: 1) Execute month-end closing responsibilities for all assigned entities on a timely basis, 2) Provide support to co-sourced international accounting teams. 3) Prepare and/or review monthly multicurrency journal entries, 4) Perform detailed analytics and evaluate trends, 5) Reconcile accounts and gather/create supporting documentation to validate account balances.
- Inquiries: Field and resolve inquiries from management, other departments within Tory Burch, and external auditors.
- Statutory Reporting: Provide support for various annual company audits.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal controls for financial reporting to ensure SOX compliance.
- Collaboration: Significant amount of interaction with finance teams, tax teams and external auditors throughout the year.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Assist with the optimization of accounting procedures and special projects, as required.
To Land This Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or other equivalent business/function role
- CPA designation a plus
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and SOX requirements
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively across functions
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- SAP/BPC experience a plus
