Summary/Objective: A Regional Manager, Field Services is responsible for the strategic direction of Field Operations for a Regional Area. This includes managing a team of field services technicians to ensure appropriate service levels among the full array of ES&S products. This position works closely with sales, operations, customer service, certification and customers to assure product services and installations are delivered in an effective and efficient manner. This role requires focus on both short-term milestones and in formulating and developing long-range goals and objectives. This role is focused on promoting the company values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team leader who supports the continued growth of the company. A Regional Manager creates business strategy to focus on strengths, competitive advantages and differentiation. He or she also recognizes profitability and revenue potential in business opportunities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the installation and maintenance of the full array of ES&S products by creating territories and assigning service technicians to ensure installation and maintenance of products is accomplished in accordance with the terms of warranties and service agreements.
  2. Manage work orders and the inventory of spare parts to ensure timely and efficient field service operations are maintained.
  3. Monitor and report field service activities with a view toward identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in processes supporting profitable operations.
  4. Supervise the work of field service technicians to include but is not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, appraising performance and developing skills.
  5. Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of hardware and software operating systems.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in management or business administration preferred; or 5 years equivalent leadership experience.

Experience: At least 5 years experience including:

  • Expert knowledge of mechanical product maintenance.
  • Management of complex software and hardware products in a high-tech environment.
  • Familiarity with business analysis processes is highly desired.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has responsibility to supervise a team of field service technicians.


Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and lift up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


Travel: Approximately 30% travel is expected.
