The Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) team at Watts Water Technologies drives innovation by delivering cutting-edge solutions in automation, data management, and analytics. As a global team, the IPA team enhances operational efficiency and decision-making across Watts Water Technologies companies worldwide.
The team specializes in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline repetitive tasks and improve productivity, workflow development to ensure seamless coordination across departments, and Data, ETL, and Business Intelligence (BI) to create robust data management and visualization solutions. By integrating advanced technologies like IoT, the team fosters innovation and smarter customer experiences.
Collaborating closely with departments such as Engineering, Finance, and IT, the IPA team bridges products and services to deliver value-driven, connected solutions for Watts’ customers.

As an AI Developer, you will be pivotal in advancing data-driven initiatives, designing innovative ML/AI solutions, and contributing to the organization's digital transformation journey. This role is fully on site in Fort Worth, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Identify and propose opportunities for leveraging ML/AI to drive business value.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, IoT/Digital Solutions, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Service, to design and implement ML/AI solutions.
  • Scope, manage, and execute data science projects aligned with business goals.
  • Partner with Engineering to optimize sensor data flows and develop analytical software for IoT devices.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to identify and develop IoT-driven product features.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and security standards by working with internal security teams.
  • Develop ML/AI solutions to improve business outcomes such as financial forecasting, customer behavior analysis, product recommendations, A/B testing, and campaign optimization.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives in big data and advanced analytics.
  • Discover and integrate new data sources to enhance analytics capabilities.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and apply ML/AI methodologies for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
  • Follow and support best practices for ML/AI development, infrastructure, and ML Ops.
  • Collaborate and learn from senior data scientists, including those from outsourcing partners.
  • Stay updated on data science principles and techniques to support continuous learning.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with IT colleagues and business stakeholders.

EDUCATION:

•      Bachelor or Master degree in data science, computer science, statistics or related fields.

MANAGEMENT:

  • This position does not have any direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in working with AI/ML projects for various business functions.
  • Expertise in Python or Working experience in Scala, Spark and C++
  • Proficiency in database programming languages such as SQL, PL/SQL
  • Proficiency in .NET Core programming is a plus but not required
  • Experience with ML/Deep Learning techniques/algorithms (Regression, Classification, Clustering, Neural Networks, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, Text Mining, SVM, Graph Analysis, Computer Vision, etc.).
  • Knowledge of some ML libraries (such as Py Torch, Keras, Pandas, NumPy, OpenCV, etc.).
  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI GPT, BERT, or similar, including fine-tuning and deploying them for domain-specific use cases.
  • Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks to combine LLM reasoning with external knowledge retrieval for applications like Q&A systems, semantic search, and document processing.
  • Experience with Streaming Analytics and applied machine learning.
  • Experience with Big Data processing tools and techniques.
