About This Role

This is a great opportunity for a seasoned engineering professional based in our Bradenton, FL office location. This position is responsible for leading the innovative design and development of electrical and electronic circuits for new products releases. We are seeking someone who can collaborate cross-functionally with firmware and mechanical teams, ensure compliance with industry standards and performance criteria, and mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of complex analog and digital circuits for fire alarm products.
  • Oversee and contribute to embedded system architecture and development.
  • Perform advanced circuit analysis, validation, and optimization using simulation tools like PSpice.
  • Design, build, and troubleshoot programmable logic circuits and high-speed digital designs.
  • Utilize electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) for system-level validation.
  • Ensure product compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead product certification and listing efforts.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to optimize design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes.
  • Under minimal direction, plans, prioritizes, and manages multiple engineering projects; prioritizes tasks to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met.
  • Manages several components of a large scale, complex, or significant engineering project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget.
  • Manages major responsibilities across multiple engineering disciplines on a regular basis.
  • Performs complex engineering activities that may not be attributed to a defined discipline and provides guidance to less senior employees.
  • With some direction, creates and implements common procedures and standards for routine work across the organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering and 5+ yrs related experience or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and 3+ yrs related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and testing high-speed digital circuits and PCBs.
  • Hands-on experience with standard electrical test and measurement equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
  • Proven expertise in analog and digital circuit design.
  • Extensive experience in embedded system architecture and development.
  • Proficiency in circuit simulation tools such as PSpice.
  • Strong understanding of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and signal integrity principles.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $102,000 - $120,000. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance.
