Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Process and Data Analyst to join our Process Intelligence and Automation Center of Excellence (COE). This hybrid role combines process and data analysis to enhance operational and business process efficiencies across the enterprise. The candidate will collaborate with our business partners to analyze use cases and processes across various functional workstreams, capture data requirements, and integrate them with our Process Intelligence and Mining solution. This integration will enable the business to perform value framing and analysis.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

  • Facilitate sessions to analyze and capture data extraction, transformation and load requirements into AEP’s Process Intelligence and Mining tool, Celonis.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives by leveraging Celonis to analyze current workflows and identify inefficiencies, demonstrating strong adaptability and problem-solving skills in navigating ambiguous situations.

  • Translate data requirements to development teams, product vendor and support the design and development phase of the project.

  • Lead the system testing effort of the developed ETL solution and support business partners to complete data validations.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand process workflows.

  • Participate in the design, development and testing of RPA based solutions for process automation.

  • Provide ongoing support to business and technology teams to ensure continuous improvement in the areas of Process Intelligence and Automation.

  • Facilitate and lead the establishment of governance and best practices in the Process Intelligence and Automation space.

  • Mentor and coach junior business analysts resources on the team.

  • Assist management with setting strategic, tactical goals for the team and plans to execute them.

What We're Looking For:

Tech Business Analyst Staff (SG9):

Education:  Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems,  business or related field of study; Or Associate's degree in computer science or related field of study with 2 years of relevant work experience; Or High school diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.

Experience:  In addition to any experience required above, 10 years of relevant work experience is required.

Tech Business Analyst Staff (SG10):

Education:  Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems,  business or related field of study; Or Associate's degree in computer science or related field of study with 2 years of relevant work experience; Or High school diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.

Experience: In addition to any experience required above, 13 years of relevant work experience is required.

Nice-to-have:

Skills/Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Process and Data Analyst.

  • Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.

  • Ability to effectively articulate process and data flow diagrams to business partners and cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership, fostering collaboration and alignment across diverse teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong collaborative mindset.

  • Experience with Agile Scrum Framework and Kanban methodologies.

  • Experience with Celonis is preferred.

  • Utility industry experience is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Process Intelligence toolsets (such as Celonis) and Process Automation tools (RPA, including UiPath and Microsoft Power Apps).

Location: Prefer candidate to live within 50 miles of Columbus, OH
