- An interest in and knowledge of the scientific aspects of food and nutrition.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to help engage members and promote healthy food choices.
- The ability to explain complex ideas simply.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to motivate others.
- Understanding and tactfulness in dealing with sensitive issues.
- A willingness to keep up to date with current nutrition information and research.
Preferred:
- Bilingual in one English, Spanish, Chinese, Armenian, Arabic, Farsi, Khmer, Korean, Russian, Tagalog, Vietnamese.
Licenses/Certifications Required
- Registered Dietitian (RD) Or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
Licenses/Certifications Preferred
- Certified Health Coach (CHC)Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES)
