The successful candidate will design, build, and optimise modern data pipelines and architectures that enable seamless, real-time data flow between enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and analytics environments.</p><p>This role requires strong technical knowledge, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions. We value individuals who are detail-oriented, independent contributors with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, ensuring that together, we continue to transform possibilities into reality. </p><p>This position is fully remote </p><p><em><strong>Note</strong>: All applications/CV’s must be submitted in English.</em></p><p><strong><br/></strong></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul> <li>Design, develop and maintain <strong>data pipelines</strong> and <strong>ETL/ELT processes</strong> for both real-time and batch integrations.</li> <li>Lead data integration initiatives involving <strong>IFS Applications</strong>, ensuring efficient and reliable data exchange across enterprise platforms.</li> <li>Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.</li> <li>Implement and manage streaming data architectures for real-time insights.</li> <li>Optimize data workflows for scalability, performance, and reliability.</li> <li>Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are met.</li> <li>Support data modeling, warehousing, and API-based integrations with enterprise systems.</li> <li>Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers.</li> </ul><p><strong></strong></p><p><strong><br/></strong></p><p><strong>Requirements for the role</strong> <br/></p><ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.</li> <li><strong>5+ years</strong> of experience as a <strong>Data Engineer</strong>, with a focus on <strong>real-time data integration</strong> and <strong>enterprise system integration</strong>.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with <strong>IFS Applications</strong> (IFS Connect, Data Migration tools, APIs, or IFS Cloud).</li> <li>Proficiency in <strong>SQL, Python</strong>, and <strong>data pipeline orchestration tools</strong> (e.g., Airflow, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or similar).</li> <li>Experience with streaming and messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Azure Event Hubs).</li> <li>Strong understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.</li> <li><strong>Fluent in English</strong></li> <li><strong></strong><strong>Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal</strong></li> </ul><p><strong><br/></strong></p><p><strong>Nice to have</strong></p><ul> <li>Experience with<strong> IFS Cloud</strong> or <strong>IFS ERP integrations</strong> in manufacturing, asset management, or service-based industries.</li> <li>Knowledge of <strong>API management, microservices,</strong> and <strong>event-driven architectures</strong>.</li> <li><strong>Certifications</strong> in Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) or Data Engineering.</li> </ul><p><strong><br/></strong></p><p><strong>What we offer at Keyrus Portugal:</strong></p><ul> <li>Competitive salary based on your skills &amp; experience and according to the Data market practice</li> <li>Meal allowance of €8.32 per day </li> <li>Flexible benefits option</li> <li>Private Medical Insurance </li> <li>22 days of annual leave (increasing every 3 years up to a maximum of 25 days)</li> <li>Tr
