Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior R&D Engineer- Full Stack Developer with a strong background in backend development. A person that will help pave the way for our digital platforms by focusing on functionality using data analytics. The main focus will be on backend development but experience and interest working with frontend development is also beneficial.

Our R&D engineers and scientists develop breakthrough technologies that change the way the world works, and how industries do business. We constantly push the limits of convention, while retaining our focus on delivering quality products and solutions to our customers.

You will be working in an agile team setup in a Global Environment, with colleagues in Poland that is cooperating with teams in Sweden and India. You will report to the local department but also to the Global R&D functions for digital solutions in HVDC.

The team is working in an agile way where all team members are expected to contribute with their knowledge and experiences to achieve the common goals for the development of the products. This means that the team is doing breakdown of activities together, collaborate within the team as well as seeking collaboration with other relevant teams in (and sometimes outside) the HVDC organization.

How You Will Make An Impact  

·         Design, develop, and maintain software for asset monitoring analytics.

·         Implement backend solutions that are scalable, efficient, and maintainable.

·         Deliver and deploy production-ready code.

·         Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

·         Share knowledge and insights openly with colleagues.

·         Keep up to date with the most recent software development trends and technologies.

Your background

·         5+ years of experience in backend software development.

·         Experience working with Python and associated libraries.

·         Experience working with message brokers (i.e. Kafka and RabbitMQ).

·         Experience with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Timescale, etc.

·         Excellent communication skills to present findings clearly and effectively.

·         Experience in CI/CD software development and related tools.

·         Experience in API development.

·         Fluent in English – spoken and written.

·         Bachelor’s degree or higher (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science, Software Development, or an equal field of study.

·         Experience in frontend development:JavaScript, React, TypeScript, including ES6+ syntax, Node.js and Express.js.
