FT 8:00am - 4:30pm e/o weekend & e/o holidayTo help support our growing retirement Community:
Performs the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping and laundry departments in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility.
Primary Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned day-to-day housekeeping functions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive environment.
- Move furniture.
- Operate a vacuum and a wet mop.
- Wash windows.
- Clean and dust walls and ceilings.
- Assure that established infection control practices are maintained.
- Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to maintenance.
- Assist with laundry as needed in the following duties.
- Ability to sort, fold, and deliver wash to residents.
- Wash and dry clothes using industrial laundry equipment.
- Ironing articles of clothing.
- Change temperature and water levels as necessary.
- Understand function of soaps, bleaches, softeners, and chemicals used in washing and rinsing.
- Wear gloves as necessary when handling dirty linens.
- Clean laundry area and equipment.
- Willingness to perform routine tasks on a continuous basis.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Environmental Services.
- Training:
- Attend all required in-service training, department meetings, all team meetings, participate in additional in-services, and attend monthly team meetings and quarterly all team meetings. Timely completes all required training.
- Customer Service & Compliance:
- Provide excellent customer service, maintain integrity, adhere to corporate compliance, and HIPAA policy.
- Time Management skills, quickly adapt to changes, be mentally alert.
- Flexible, caring, and ability for harmonious working relationships.
Qualifications
Position Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Thorough knowledge of facility’s operation and physical layout.
- Computer experience.
- Knowledge of institutional/hospitality cleaning procedures.
