The Opportunity: Co-op Research Scientist - Cell Pharmacology

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Co-op Research Scientist with a strong background in Cell Biology and Immunology to join our Cellular Pharmacology group within the Department of Quantitative Biosciences at our Research & Development Division in Boston for a 6-month Co-op program. The successful candidate will play an essential role in developing cellular assays for screening and characterizing translational models. We are looking for someone eager to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and characterize in vitro and ex vivo cellular assays and translational models to support autoimmune and cancer research projects. The cellular assays would be applied to test modalities from drug discovery program. The translational models, which will also be utilized for drug testing, are expected to capture the complex features of human biology compared to 2D cell system, thus is anticipated to improve preclinical translation to clinical efficacy.
Work collaboratively with team members of the department.
Independently analyze and interpret data.
Maintain accurate electronic notebook records of experimental details and data analysis and interpretation.
Communicate effectively in a highly productive and multi-disciplinary environment.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular and Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
Experience with laboratory techniques and instrumentation, as well as a basic understanding of drug discovery and development.
Effective communicator who can work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Preferred Majors:
Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, or a related field of study.
Additional Requirements:
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, from May 2025 to December 20, 2025.

Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$39,600.00-$105,500.00
