UG2 is seeking a forward-thinking and results-driven Associate Vice President (AVP) of Strategic Partnerships & Solutions to lead the delivery and expansion of janitorial service operations across a diverse portfolio of client sites in Northern California. This executive leadership role combines strategic partnership development with operational excellence, focusing on delivering high-value solutions, enhancing client satisfaction, driving business growth, and developing high-performing teams.
As AVP, you will play a key role in aligning UG2’s service capabilities with client needs, fostering long-term partnerships, and positioning UG2 as a trusted leader in the facility services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership Development
- Serve as a senior relationship manager for key client accounts, identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and expand service offerings.
- Collaborate with clients to understand long-term goals and tailor UG2 solutions to meet evolving needs.
- Represent UG2 at industry events, networking forums, and strategic business development initiatives.
- Support contract renewals, RFP responses, and expansion opportunities across existing and prospective clients.
Operational Leadership
- Provide executive oversight for day-to-day janitorial operations across commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
- Ensure consistent service excellence, operational efficiency, and adherence to contractual agreements.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation through standard operating procedures (SOPs), technology, and process enhancements.
- Lead implementation of quality assurance programs, sustainability initiatives, and compliance standards.
Client Experience & Retention
- Conduct high-level site visits, executive business reviews, and performance assessments.
- Ensure client feedback is proactively addressed, with corrective action plans implemented swiftly.
- Develop strategic account plans and retention strategies in collaboration with operations teams.
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a regional leadership team including Operations Managers, Site Supervisors, and frontline staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, and professional growth.
- Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning strategies.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, HR policies, and union agreements (as applicable).
Financial Management & Business Performance
- Develop and manage regional budgets, operating costs, and profitability targets.
- Monitor financial performance metrics and implement cost optimization initiatives.
- Partner with Finance, HR, and Business Development to ensure alignment of financial goals with operational strategies.
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
- Champion UG2’s safety culture and ensure full compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Oversee risk mitigation, emergency preparedness, and incident response protocols.
- Conduct routine safety training, audits, and inspections across all locations.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or related discipline (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- 7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in facilities services, janitorial operations, or outsourced service management.
- Demonstrated success managing multi-site operations and large, diverse teams.
- Experience building and maintaining strategic client relationships in complex environments.
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic thinker with a client-centric mindset and executive presence.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CMMS, QA platforms, or other operational systems is a plus.
Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel regularly throughout Northern California.
- Willingness to provide after-hours or weekend support as necessary.
