Responsibilities
The Senior Director of manufacturing operations for Global Lottery leads forecasting, S&OP and planning functions, quality & compliance functions, logistics, import and exports controls, and the RI Repair Depot operation.
This leader manages a team responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound logistical operations, including inventory management, warehousing and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products; controlling the commercial impact of the complete range of activities from receiving, locating and dispatching, production, planning and optimizing inventory levels; administering an effective production planning system that meets the organization's inventory control needs through efficient transportation of raw materials, replacement parts, component parts and/or finished goods; overseeing the development and management of the global quality program and associated compliance certificates; managing the Rhode Island Repair Depot to support Field Service needs.
- Ensure all products are manufactured to meet or exceed performance requirements, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements and that inventory of the products is effectively managed to optimize cost and service targets
- Ensure the daily operation of a safe, effective and efficient Repair Depot in West Greenwich, Rhode Island
- Implementation and maintenance of a robust Quality Management System
- Ensure adherence to all country rules and regulations regarding shipment and disposition of lottery equipment throughout the Region
- Work with Supply Chain finance team to develop and manage to working forecasts and budgets to meet company objectives
- Responsible for implementing the strategic vision for the lottery manufacturing operations functions and integrating these initiatives cross-functionally across the organization. Create relationships with all internal departments and leaders to achieve business results.
- Effective management, supervision and coaching of the department/team to ensure effective performance and personal development. Effective implementation of corporate employee performance management processes. Model behavior, provide advice and implement corrective actions to employees to improve and maintain professional standards.
- Develop and implement continuous improvements in warehousing, manufacturing, distribution and reverse logistics strategies.
- Create, develop, and monitor KPI metrics for operations and provide updates and recommendations that improve overall customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Manage preventative maintenance of production & warehouse equipment and tools.
- Manage, control and supply Global Lottery Field Services and Lottery sales customers with spare parts to support contracted services and meet company objectives.
- Provide all Supply Chain groups with all required business analytics and reporting.
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum Education: BS/BA degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or related field
- Preferred Education: Masters degree in Business Administration or Engineering
Experience:
- 15 years of related experience is required.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
Association of Supply Chain Management certifications--CPIM, CLTD, CSCP; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification; Requires strong knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook)
