Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong writing, researching and editing skills across a variety of deliverables and formats, including MS Word, PPT, and Excel
- Serve as day-to-day client contact across multiple integrated workstreams demonstrating strong in-person and virtual presentation and relationship management skills with clients and colleagues
- Partner with account leads and specialty groups to address client needs quickly, thoughtfully and effectively – inclusive of developing proactive briefs and POVs for review
- Drive proactive problem solving to understand and interpret client needs and deliver recommendations and POVs to address
- Oversee junior staff with ownership over client and internal knowledge management/notes, coordinating client touchpoints, setting agendas, providing action-oriented recaps, proactive project tracking, and monthly activity reports; actively participate in client and internal meetings
- Oversee operational and financial performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, timeline and budget adherence; demonstrate ownership over monthly finance and activity reports across multiple accounts, overseeing junior staff assignments
- Play major role in creation of communications and marketing plans and goals; ensure tactical programs are carried out that track toward them
- Consistently partner across junior staff and specialty groups to produce high-quality work product
- Demonstrate interest and experience in Healthcare, Pharma, Med Device industries, including the ability to translate highly technical and scientific information into layperson language
- Oversee Medical, Legal and Regulatory approvals process, including submissions into client-owned Veeva portal
- Serve as central repository of account and disease state knowledge to perform quality control of all externally-facing materials
- Ensure specialty groups, including earned, digital, social media, influencer, talent, rights and partnerships, creative and data visualization, are integrated into all relevant programs and properly briefed on account activities and information
- Supervise account junior staff by motivating, coaching, consistently providing timely and actionable feedback
- Contribute to business growth through introducing clients to new capabilities, building network of industry contacts and participating in relevant professional organizations
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of full-time experience in public relations and/or related fields including advertising, management consulting, and media
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (public relations, communications, English, advertising, journalism, business)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with pharma MLR review process
- Experience working with global clients across markets, US and ex-US
- Experience in both corporate communications and brand/product communications
- Excellent storytelling, writing, and presentation skills
- Management and leadership skills as well as a proven track record of success in executing fast-moving, large-scale campaigns at the strategic and tactical level
- Ability to manage budgets and timelines on sizable pieces of business to achieve client goals
- Experience with and knowledge of social and earned media, particularly in the health and pharma space
