Type: Part-Time (20hr/week on a set schedule between the hours of 9am - 5pm EST)

Relay Graduate School of Education (Relay) is an accredited not-for-profit institution of higher education serving thousands of educators from across the country, from pre-service teachers to system-level leaders. Our mission is to ensure that all students are taught by excellent educators, in order to build a more just world where every student has a clear path to a fulfilling life.
Reporting to the Manager of Student Financial Services (SFS), the part-time Coordinator, Student Financial Services is part of the SFS team and coordinates institutional aid to support all students enrolled in Relay’s programs. As the Coordinator gains exposure to Relay’s student-facing financial operations and gains experience working within a fast-paced and expanding organization, the Coordinator will help build and strengthen systems to support the larger team, thereby ensuring students have a positive experience with our institution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Aid Packaging (60%)
- Enter financial aid data daily from source documents into the student information system to ensure students receive scholarships and awards in a timely manner
- Learn and ensure federal and state compliance guidelines are strictly adhered to when awarding financial aid
Financial Aid Accuracy Review (30%)
- Review data entries for completeness and accuracy to align with financial aid budget reviews, funding decisions, and meet audit request requirements
- Learn, internalize, and follow established financial aid entry procedures to ensure student records are complete, accurate and secure
Other Projects (10%)

Support SFS team with special projects that support the teams’ ability to meet quarterly and annual goals, as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
First and foremost, the Coordinator, Student Financial Services must share the Relay community’s commitment to working together to improve student growth and achievement through phenomenal teacher preparation grounded in diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism. This includes providing teacher preparation programs that set novice teachers up to succeed in the classroom from day one; leadership programs that train new and veteran school and district leaders to best serve their school communities; and teacher-facing professional education that provides ongoing learning to educators. Additionally, for this position we’re looking for candidates that possess a combination of the following skills.

- Strong interpersonal and team-building skills; ability to navigate, work across, and invest multiple stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial outlook and commitment to Relay’s mission to improve student outcomes, close opportunity gaps, and rethink how we prepare our educators
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive applications
- High school diploma preferred
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
