We’re seeking a Senior Director of Product Compliance to drive regulatory clarity, influence product direction, and ensure we deliver high-confidence compliance software across our platform—particularly with a focus on our Financial Crimes, Portfolio Risk, and Loan Origination solution areas. We are looking for energetic candidates with strong intellect, the ability to learn quickly and execute with excellence, and superior customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be scrappy, have a bias for action, and have a deep commitment to growth and learning. As a role within a high-growth company, the range of initiatives is dynamic and will provide exposure into multiple areas of the company. This position will be based out of our office in Raleigh, NC or Austin, TX or remote. Occasional travel is required for team events to support engagement, relationship building, and key decision making. As we continue to evolve our technology offerings, we are especially focused on the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and user experience across our platform. This leader will help shape how we design, document, and govern AI-driven features—such as automated case narratives or alert decisioning—ensuring they meet both the spirit and letter of evolving compliance standards, while delivering meaningful value to our clients. What You'll Do:
- Lead Regulatory Insight Across Product Lines:
Serve as Abrigo’s internal authority on banking compliance regulations across BSA/AML, OFAC/sanctions, CECL, Reg B, CRA, TRID, and other relevant frameworks. Provide strategic and practical guidance to product managers and developers across our Fraud, Risk, and Lending product lines. - Own Compliance Positioning in Financial Crimes Software:
Proactively shape and guide what “good compliance” looks like for our BSA/AML, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring offerings. Help define and advocate for the necessary compliance features, controls, and auditability within our Financial Crimes suite—balancing regulatory expectations and customer experience. - Define and Guide ACH Fraud Compliance Standards: Shape product requirements and control frameworks for ACH fraud detection and prevention solutions. Ensure alignment with NACHA rules, Reg E, and evolving regulatory expectations around real-time payments, fraud liability, and consumer protections. Partner with product and engineering teams to operationalize these standards into actionable product features and audit trails.
- Monitor, Interpret & Influence Regulation:
Maintain a living map of relevant U.S. banking regulations and their applicability across Abrigo’s product portfolio. Track proposed changes and emerging legislation; coordinate product representation in working groups, public comment periods, and industry coalitions where appropriate. - Guide Product Compliance in AI-Enabled Workflows:
Establish clear, practical frameworks for regulatory expectations when applying Artificial Intelligence in banking workflows (e.g., SAR decision support, auto-generated narratives). Partner with PMs and engineers to ensure transparency, documentation, and human-in-the-loop design principles. - Act as a Strategic Partner to Product Management:
Help shape roadmap decisions through a compliance lens—differentiating between “table stakes” and “value-add” capabilities. Drive clarity on compliance priorities across the organization, influencing both product sequencing and customer messaging. - Support External Trust and Internal Alignment:
