Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Senior Software Engineer in San Francisco, CA to design, develop, test, and deliver distributed services which cater to continuous demand and increasing payload. Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent, and three (3) years of experience designing, developing and testing engineering components for next generation platform for consumer electronic devices. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience writing test and document programming codes to build distributed web services; analyzing, troubleshooting, debugging and proposing solutions to complex software issues including throttling, caching, optimization, sprint planning, grooming and distributed computing; utilizing profiling tools to monitor and optimize performance of deployed software services; deploying, monitoring and managing Cloud Services; developing, maintaining and testing distributed system on cloud platform; creating, querying and updating NoSQL database; creating, reviewing and developing design solutions for large scale and highly available applications; and in executing duties, utilizing tools including Java, IntelliJ, Eclipse, AWS lambda, SQS, SNS, ECS, ECR, Jira, AGILE, DynamoDB, SQL database and MySQL. At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
