Title: Sr Manager, Investment Management Technology

NT Asset Management technology team is seeking an experienced and dynamic technology leader to lead the delivery of technology solutions for our Investment Management passive index business across Equity and Fixed income asset classes.

As a core member of the Investment Management Technology Practice, you will lead the team on various initiatives to deliver technology solutions that enables our Investment Management passive index business across Equity and Fixed income asset classes.

As a senior leader, you will work across technology and business teams maximizing performance levels, agility and effectiveness through high degree of decision making, communication, empathetic leadership, talent management and mentoring.  

You will bring technical skills and solutioning experience including how of build vs buy 3rd party solutions in Investment Management domain.

Major Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will build and foster strong relationships with business and technology partners and will be responsible for leading and developing a team that will be focused on delivering exceptional solutions and solving business challenges across Portfolio Management and Trading technology for our Index business.
  • You will be working with industry leading vended platforms and internal teams to define strategic technology roadmap to modernize, optimize, and transform technology solutions to provide more efficient tools and overall partner experience.
  • You will be focused on maximizing the value of services delivered to business and collaborating with stakeholders to align business strategies with strategic technology programs and initiatives.
  • The candidate will also focus on improving communications and overall engagement with business partners on a day-to-day basis and building long-term relationships between business partners and technology stakeholders that foster trust and transparency.
  • Aligns technology strategy with business-based decisions and fosters consensus at all levels of the organization to ensure the achievement of business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Architecture and Data teams to create roadmaps that enable business growth and the future state of the business.
  • Plan, evaluate and hire great talent.  Set the performance standards and provide mentoring and training to develop and grow direct reports.  
  • Ensures compliance with all audit, security and risk management requirements.
  • Invests significant efforts to keep self-updated with fintech emerging products/technology capabilities to integrate as off the shelf products to find optimum solutions and be able to advise build vs buy options.
  • Should be able to work in a fluid and dynamic environment, and understand how to effectively communicate complex concepts that can be understood by senior leaders.

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in analytical and/or business field of study required; Master’s degree a plus.

Professional Qualifications:

  • 15+ yrs experience working on large complex programs / projects within front office - with particular exposure and subject matter expertise with Portfolio Management and Trade execution domains.
  • Strong business acumen and rich experience working with large OMS and trading platforms preferably with Aladdin.
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze relevant data to make informed recommendations and influence business outcomes.
  • Track record of hiring, developing, and engaging a diverse and high-performing teams and managing performance by driving a culture of accountability.
  • Experience with range of technologies including database experience working with vast amounts of data, building and integrating API’s into platforms, Micro services architecture, Client facing application development, Java/.NET/Python
  • Proficiency with Agile (Scrum/SAfe) and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • A background in conducting team gatherings, distributing action points and responsibilities, and overseeing the comprehensive progress of projects, with strong experience using Jira and Confluence
