About the role

Description


We are seeking a Staff Accountant in the Private Client Group of our wealth management firm, located in Cleveland, Ohio.  The candidate will use their tax and accounting experience to prepare tax returns and produce entity financial statements for high-net-worth clients.


This position offers work from home availability 2-3 days per week after initial orientation period.


Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Maintain the financial books for client entities 
  • Enter transactions and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis
  • Prepare monthly reporting for clients
  • Leverage QuickBooks software capabilities to efficiently capture transactions and run reports as needed
  • Prepare entity tax returns for Partnership, LLCs and S Corporations
  • As needed, prepare individual and trust tax returns
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns, payroll reports, 1099s, W-2s, and various other filings
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of an assigned client base
  • Communicate directly with clients and other professional advisors as needed
  • Develop skills to use the tools available to complete projects in a paperless environment
  • Complete other duties as assigned


Requirements


The successful candidate will have:

  • 1-5 years or more years of experience using QuickBooks
  • 1-5 years of bookkeeping experience 
  • Experience with partnership and S Corporation income tax returns preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • CPA or EA designation a plus
  • Excellent computer proficiency (e.g. Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook)
  • Experience interfacing with clients on a regular basis
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player mentality
