About the role
<p>We are a specialty vaccine company that develops, manufactures, and commercializes prophylactic vaccines for infectious diseases addressing unmet medical needs. We take a highly specialized and targeted approach, applying our deep expertise across multiple vaccine modalities, focused on providing either first-, best- or only-in-class vaccine solutions.</p><p>We have a strong track record, having advanced multiple vaccines from early R&D to approvals, and currently market three proprietary travel vaccines, including the world’s first and only chikungunya vaccine, as well as certain third-party vaccines.</p><p>Revenues from our growing commercial business help fuel the continued advancement of our vaccine pipeline. This includes the only Lyme disease vaccine candidate in advanced clinical development, which is partnered with Pfizer, as well as vaccine candidates against the Zika virus and other global public health threats.</p><p>As Digital Systems Architect you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our IT infrastructure landscape that meets business needs. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including business leaders, developers, project teams and IT teams to create efficient and effective systems architecture.</p><h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul> <li>Lead and drive the implementation of a tailored Enterprise Architecture Management process within the Global IT Organization</li> <li>Understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications</li> <li>Design and document system architecture based on TOGAF framework to ensure scalability and performance requirements</li> <li>Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for system architecture, design decisions, and implementation details</li> <li>Create architecture diagrams, flowcharts and other visual aids for clear communication</li> <li>Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms and tools that align with the organization's goals and requirements</li> <li>Create and communicate a technology roadmap that outlines the evolution of the enterprise architecture over time</li> <li>Design solutions that promote seamless integration and interoperability between different systems and business units </li> <li>Ensure that the enterprise architecture supports current and future integration requirements</li> <li>Identify and prioritize technology investments to support business priorities </li> <li>Provide guidance and support during the development and implementation</li> <li>Identify and mitigate technology-related risks by implementing appropriate plans</li> <li>Ensure that the system architecture meets security and compliance standards</li> <li>Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the organization's operations</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul> <li>Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field</li> <li>A minimum of 5 years proven experience as a System Architect or in a similar role</li> <li>Experience in establishing/implementing Enterprise Architecture process</li> <li>Proven TOGAF framework skills</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of system architecture principles, design patterns and best practices</li> <li>Strong communication and collaboration skills</li> <li>Experience with cloud computing platforms and virtualization technologies</li> <li>Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Ability to manage and develop strong working relationships with other departments and outside vendors</li> <li>Strong cross functional understanding within the pharmaceutical industry</li> <li>Proven facilitation and problem-solving skills even in remote work</li> <li>Proven ability to management multiple projects and vendors in a multinational organization</li> <li>Act autonomously and voluntarily (self-starter)</li> </ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul> <li>Open, appreciative company culture with innovative spirit and attractive assignments</li> <li>International surrounding with flat hierarchies</li> <li>Good team spirit in a strong and highly motivated team</li> <li>Wide range of benefits like flexitime, compensation days, performance-related bonus, lunch vouchers, child care center (“Kindergarten”), company events, myClubs, etc.</li> </ul><p></p><p><em>Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 66.000,- gross per year based on full-time employment.
