Job Summary:
This is a position within the Reinsurance Pricing Department for a junior level actuary. The actuary will provide pricing guidance to the UW team.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Pricing treaties for Middle East/Africa (MEA) UW team
- Supporting other actuarial areas with their pricing assignments
- Studies and analyses in support of the pricing function
- Projects of an actuarial nature (e.g., building aggregate distribution models; fitting loss distributions)
- Testing and debugging our pricing platform
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or a math-related field
- Pursuing ACAS or FCAS credential (minimum 2 actuarial exams already passed)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products with strong proficiency in Excel
- Familiarity with SQL and a programming language (Python, VBA, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Good working with a team and alone on projects and analyses
- Ability to communicate with UW team and other actuaries
- Working on several assignments at the same time
- Problem solving skills
