We are seeking a seasoned, strategic, and results-driven Head of Industry, Health & Pharma to lead our sales organization across these key industry verticals. This leader will be responsible for managing a team of Sales Directors, driving revenue growth, and partnering with leading brands and agencies to deliver innovative advertising solutions that help clients achieve measurable business outcomes. Your primary focus will be on Yahoo Ads, direct sold sponsorship packages, and performance media solutions, helping brands and agencies achieve their marketing goals.
Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team focused on delivering exceptional value to our clients across a set of key industry verticals.
Define and execute a robust strategy to attract new advertisers, driving adoption of Yahoo’s solutions and achieving revenue growth targets.
Foster a customer-centric culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and exceptional customer experiences tailored to the unique needs of the Health & Pharma industry.
Build and nurture strategic relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers at brands and agencies, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor and partner.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Client Success, and Sales Leadership to develop and execute integrated go-to-market strategies supporting key industry verticals.
Leverage AI-powered sales tools, automation, and data-driven insights to improve sales effectiveness, strengthen customer engagement, and identify new revenue opportunities across the Health & Pharma vertical.
Lead an agile organization while staying ahead of industry trends, competitive dynamics, AI innovation, and emerging technologies to accelerate customer adoption and drive business growth.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and growth opportunities to foster talent development and retention.
Participate in strategic planning to drive the overall success of the Yahoo Sales organization.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of client challenges and a passion for delivering innovative solutions that drive measurable business impact.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, or related roles, with at least 6 years of experience managing sales teams.
Proven track record of leading and motivating high-performing sales teams, achieving ambitious revenue targets, and cultivating long-lasting strategic customer relationships
Exceptional business acumen, with a deep understanding of digital advertising trends and the competitive landscape
Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities, with the ability to develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies within a market segment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, build strong relationships with C-level executives, and influence key decision-makers
Proficiency in sales methodologies, negotiation techniques, and consultative selling approaches
Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving measurable business impact
Established relationships with senior decision-makers across leading brands and agencies.
Experience leveraging AI-powered tools, automation, and data to improve sales productivity, customer engagement, forecasting, or go-to-market effectiveness.
