Job Description:

Accenture Federal Services’ National Security Portfolio (NSP) is seeking a highly motivated Deputy Program Manager to support the integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of a Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) system to provide maritime domain awareness in Northern Africa. The system will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating security information to enhance the security and force protection of maritime boundaries, natural resources, and strategic ports. The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid role, as part of an integrated team based in greater Boston, Massachusetts, to assist the team with the management of the entire system’s lifecycle.

The Work:

  • Responsible for client relationship management, strategic direction, growth of AFS services, and overall engagement of our team and program forecasting
  • Assist the overall program manager with the day-to-day management of the C4ISR program
  • Effectively communicate with both internal and client leadership to ensure stakeholders are tracking the latest program updates, risks, issues, and blockers
  • Work directly with the EVM Lead and Cost Manager to ensure all costs are properly tracked and forecasted, and the correct financial deliverables are provided on time and to expectations
  • Coordinate and lead internal and external program calls, capturing all program actions
  • Create and present weekly, monthly, and semi-annual program review presentations
  • Track all program deliverables and milestones, ensuring the AFS team is tracking each deliverable and its required content
  • Manage and update the program schedule given day-to-day engineering progress
  • Work on-site in the Boston based Systems Integration Lab (SIL) to assist in the management of program engineering, software development, documentation, cybersecurity, training, and reach back support
  • Willingness to learn and take on more program management responsibility over the course of the program
  • Travel to San Diego, CA and Northern Africa to attend program conferences, demonstrations, and other program related events

Here's what you need:

  • 8+ years of program management experience and a BS/BA degree or 6+ years of prior program management experience and a MS degree
  • 4+ years of experience supervising or leading Systems Engineering, Software, and/or Test teams/projects
  • 2+ years experience with effective management and oversight of team members in various locations

Bonus points if you have:

  • Ability to reason through mission requirements
  • Possess a high degree of ethics, strong core values and an optimistic outlook, strong leadership, teamwork, and customer relations skills, exceptional oral and written communication and formal presentation skills, the ability to work independently with initiative, creativity, and innovation, and demonstrated program management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project (e.g., resource tools, schedule variance, cost variance)
  • Advanced knowledge of Visio or equivalent process diagram tools
  • PMP or Program Management certifications
  • Experience working on DoD or FMS programs
  • Experience with managing the integration of complex DoD surveillance systems

Security Clearance:

  • Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance
