Mission Valley Pet Clinic is a long-standing general practice for cats and dogs. We practice compassionate and quality pet care for every pet we see. We have a fun work environment, great staff, high-quality medicine, and a well-equipped hospital including digital X-rays and a therapeutic K-laser. Mission Valley Pet Clinic has been a fixture in the Allied Garden community for over 30 years. We have multi-generational clients and patients. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a pet grow from a youngster to a senior and knowing you had a hand in that pet’s care.

Who We're Looking For 

We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated, positive individual to join our team. He or she must be comfortable with speaking to owners in person and over the phone, providing information, and coordinating tasks among the team. Proficiency in customer service, phones, and teamwork is crucial. Knowledge of Avimark is helpful but not mandatory.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $24.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, licensure, and certifications.

Requirements:

• Registered Veterinary Technician (required) 
• 2+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting 
• Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories  
• Assisting doctor and other technical staff with restraint  
• Blood draws (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)  
• Placing IV catheters  
• Digital radiology including positioning.  
• Dentistry (digital x-rays, scaling, polishing)  
• Anesthesia (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique)  
• TPR  
• Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; HM5; Vetscan; Sedivue  
• Excellent client communication/education
