Material transportation, loading, unloading, lifting, stacking, pulling, etc. in indoor and outdoor areas of the business with forklift. To work safely and quickly in accordance with workplace instructions.
When necessary, transporting and placing machines and benches and assisting in the fastening and dismantling of heavy workpieces and moulds. Carry out daily maintenance, cleaning and all kinds of replenishment of the vehicle in accordance with the instructions. To prepare request slips and reports regarding work and vehicles when necessary.

Material Handler

Night shift 2,2,3 (12 hour rotational work schedule)

Moves, delivers, and stores raw materials and finished goods in Production or Warehouse areas.  Maintains accurate inventories of all materials.  Works directly under the supervision of Huhtamaki management.

Description of Major Responsibilities

•             Observe all Huhtamaki safety rules and use safe working methods and procedures at all times to avoid injury, injury to co-workers, or damage to company property. 

•             Move material through facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, clamp truck, etc.) as required.

•             Participate in Continuous Improvement events and teams.

•             Use the computer to dispense and receive information such as product codes, part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc.

•             Complete paperwork to properly document work performed.

•             Load and unload trucks.

•             Conduct material audits.

•             General housekeeping in production or warehouse departments.

•             Maintain department cleanliness to AIB standards.

•             Operate Material handling equipment.

•             Participate in AIB Housekeeping and Food Safety Programs.  Provide plant housekeeping support.

•             Other duties as assigned.
