Position Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Reports To: Freight and Logistics Manager

Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting in the day to day functioning of the Warehouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Commitment to safe working environment and leads safety program through training and employee suggestion system.
• Utilizes facts and data to drive quality excellence and improvement (QER, KPI).
• Establishes measurable productivity goals to align with operational philosophy of continuous improvement.
• “Owns” all areas of the warehouse – documentation, inventory, organization, production, quality, safety and shipping/receiving.
• Supervises day to day operations of the warehouse through Gemba, KPI’s and leadership.
• Promote a positive work environment and empower employees to be active participants in continuous improvement opportunities.
• Establish and maintain “best practice” operations.
• Maintain neat and organized warehouse and storage locations through Lean methods such as 5S, Poka-Yoke and Kanban.
• Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
• Maintains inventory by conducting cycle counts; reconciling variances; inputting data in NAV. Ensures all inventory transactions are properly documented and executed in timely manner.
• Maintains and monitors department supplies, including but not limited to packaging material, pallets, tools, and other related materials as needed.
• Ensures equipment is safe and operational through enforcement of operating instructions; pre-operational inspections, troubleshooting breakdowns; preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
• 2-3 years supervisory experience
3-5 years Warehouse/Distribution/Manufacturing ExperienceDetailed knowledge of FedEx ship manager and quoting toolPrevious experience with various modes of transportation and transit times. (LTL, FTL, Ground, Air, Ocean)Computer knowledge to include Microsoft products, ERP systems (NAV), SharePoint.Effective communicator in person, email, telephone and other modes as required.Active Green Belt certification or willingness to attain Green Belt within first 6 months of employment.Thorough understanding of inventory cycle count programs and year end audit processesFlexibility and willingness to work nonstandard hours on occasion.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Must be able to lift 50-80 lbs
• Must be able to perform required machine tasks
• Must be able to adapt to environmental changes and working conditions, such as temperature and noise
