Position Title: Assistant Manager-Clinical Operations-Adult Coronary Care Unit
Location: Methodist Hospital
Shift: Rotating, Part-Time (approximately 16 hours/week, including evenings and occasional weekends)  Unit Overview:Join our 28-bed Cardiac-focused Medical ICU, supporting patients with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions such as Heart Failure, Post STEMI, Pulmonary Hypertension, Pre-Heart and Lung Transplants, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Distress, and Acute Renal Failure. This high-acuity environment values teamwork, open feedback, active listening, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.Position Summary:This role provides leadership, management, and oversight during shifts in the absence of administrative and management staff. The Charge Nurse facilitates patient flow, expedites patient placement, and acts as a consultant in emergency or unusual circumstances. They follow up on issues or concerns with appropriate departments or administrative personnel to ensure smooth unit operations.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight for patient care and staff during assigned shifts.
• Facilitate patient flow, coordinate admissions/discharges, and expedite patient placement.
• Serve as a resource and consultant for emergency or complex situations.
• Follow up on operational concerns and collaborate with departments for resolution.
• Support a team environment focused on safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s of Nursing (BSN) required or relevant clinical experience.
• Licensure:
  • Active RN license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Additional advanced life support certifications may be required per unit policies.
• Experience:
  • 5-7 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Specialty Certification:

  • Completion of Clinical Specialty Professional Certification within 1 year of meeting eligibility requirements.

Work Schedule:

• Approximately 16 hours per week, with rotating shifts including evenings and occasional weekends, which are part of the off-shift hours.
