This role requires a strong Field Service mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. </span></p> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>As a <span>Senior Service Engineer/Superintendent Propulsion</span> you will focus on these responsibilities:</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span>Execute Field Service activities for propulsion systems, ensuring compliance with Wärtsilä quality standards.</span></li> <li><span>Provide technical expertise and support to customers, ensuring their satisfaction and resolving technical issues.</span></li> <li><span>Perform mechanical maintenance and overhauls on propulsion products, including FPP, CPP, Gearbox, Transverse Thruster, Azimuth Thruster, and WaterJet systems.</span></li> <li><span>Troubleshoot, maintain, and investigate propulsion equipment to identify and resolve issues.</span></li> <li><span>Execute warranty tasks and supervise propulsion equipment during newbuilding projects.</span></li> <li><span>Perform system upgrades for propulsion control systems.</span></li> <li><span>Supervise and execute warranty and field service activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.</span></li> <li><span>Prepare detailed service work reports and documentation for internal and customer use.</span></li> <li><span>Communicate effectively with Wärtsilä Field Service stakeholders and customers to provide updates and technical insights.</span></li> <li><span>Independently organize and coordinate work, including shipyard activities, to ensure project success.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span>Requirements for the position</span>  </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span>Diploma or BSc degree in Mechanical, Marine, Electrical &amp; Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering.</span></li> <li><span>Proven experience working with engine and propulsion systems, ideally with a Field Service or Marine Engineer background.</span></li> <li><span>Several years of independent experience with the following propulsion products:</span><br/> <ul> <li><span>Fixed Pitch Propellers (FPP)</span></li> <li><span>Controllable Pitch Propellers (CPP)</span></li> <li><span>Gearboxes</span></li> <li><span>Transverse Thrusters</span></li> <li><span>Azimuth Thrusters</span></li> <li><span>WaterJet systems</span></li> </ul> </li> <li><span>Strong mechanical maintenance and overhauling skills for propulsion products.</span></li> <li><span>Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and investigation of propulsion equipment.</span></li> <li><span>Familiarity with executing warranty tasks and supervising newbuilding projects.</span></li> <li><span>Ability to perform system upgrades for propulsion control systems.</span></li> <li><span>High level of independence in organizing work and coordinating shipyard activities.</span></li> <li><span>Good command of written and spoken <strong>English</strong>.</span></li> <li><span>Fluency in <strong>Polish </strong>(both written and spoken).</span></li> <li><span>Willingness and ability to travel globally for service jobs, <strong>up to 80%</strong>, depending on shipyard service needs.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>Preferred Qualifications:</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <
