Skeletal Health Center
This Staff Nurse will be responsible for:

  • Working with patients and families for acute and chronic problem solving with a focus in caring for patients with skeletal dysplasia and osteoporosis.
  • Preparing patients and families for evaluation in the Skeletal Health Center.  
  • Following-up with patients and families to evaluate progress after making treatment changes and infusion appointments.
  • Providing support to physicians to facilitate ambulatory clinic flow.  
  • Administering various injections and providing training on devices such as growth promoting medications for use at home.  
  • Providing information and liaison between families and their physicians (primary care and endocrine) in order for families to be comfortable with the care of their children.
  • Triaging patient and family needs with primary care physicians and/or families who are questioning the need for a Skeletal Health Center or endocrine appointment.
  • Working in our Boston, Waltham and Peabody clinics.
To qualify, you must have:
  • BSN degree
  • 1-3 years nursing experience required
  • Strong telephone communication, critical thinking and organizational skills as well as the ability to work as a team 
  • Comfort providing telephone support 
  • This is a 40 hour per week position scheduled as four 10-hour days (8am-6:30pm)
