Purpose
Under the direction of the Director of the Center for Generative AI, the individual will, with independence commensurate with experience, perform research within the Center for Generative Artificial Intelligence and its parent organization, the Machine Learning Laboratory. Successful candidates will be appointed within either the Department of Computer Science or the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering depending upon the applicant’s research thrust.
Responsibilities
- Project management including conducting and preparing reports on assigned research projects, to include documentation of observations and measurements. Evaluates and determines procedures to be used in the design of research projects. Tests, assists and inspects apparatuses, materials, software and equipment for conformity to specifications.
- Provides system-level design and engineering support for components, products and system applications as related to Machine Learning.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with major coursework in these areas. Excellent communication and collaborative skills, both oral and written. Professional demeanor.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field. Documented experience in program management.
Salary Range
$80,000+ depending on qualifications
