About the team
The Director of Billing & Collections is responsible for managing the collections team across both our Ads & Leads businesses and increasing the overall cash flow of Angi by collecting payments from delinquent accounts. This person will also be responsible for monitoring the billing process and providing insight on process improvements for both the Ads & Leads businesses at Angi.
What you’ll do
- Oversight of the AR collections process for the Ads & Leads business
- Build, implement, and manage collections department policies, training, and procedures that are conducive to company goals
- Monitor and provide insight on how to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the current billing processes
- Manage and motivate 2 direct reports and a team of ~15 individuals
- Assist in performance evaluation, promotion, retention and termination activities
- Perform monthly review of specifically reserved accounts and bad debt allowance with the Director of Accounting
- Identify areas of improvements and concerns and accordingly develop action plans
- Maintain productive and cohesive relationships with supporting operations, departments and staff (i.e. Client Success, Accounts Receivable, SP Integrity, etc)
- Address escalated issues from Collections Managers
- Administer appropriate disciplinary/corrective action in accordance with company policy
- Assist in implementing identified improvements along with other departments
- Ensure that compliance with company policies and federal regulations is maintained
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related degree required
- 10+ years of experience within collections, billing, accounts receivable or related field
- 5+ years of leadership experience, managing collaborative, results-oriented teams
- Analytical and structured problem solver, willing to get to the details and uncover key insights
- Strategic and tactical experience designing, building and executing scalable processes from scratch, ideally in an operations intensive environment
- Superior communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to be highly organized with an emphasis on accuracy, details and timeliness.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, willing to get hands dirty and adapt to a fast-paced work environment
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with deep knowledge of Excel, other tooling systems like SQL/Tableau/Looker a plus

Compensation & Benefits
- The salary band for this position ranges $135,000 - $150,000 commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living.
- This position will be eligible for a competitive year end performance bonus & equity package.
