Sr. Web Developer

InvestCloud is looking for a bright individual seeking to expand his/her knowledge and expertise in UX front-end development to join our product team. This position is aimed towards a self-starter with strong analytical and creative tendencies. Commercial web development experience is required, and the ideal candidate must be capable of quickly learning and mastering key concepts.  

 

The Sr. Web Developer role is an opportunity role to develop into a designer, business analyst, data specialist or technical developer in a fast-paced US West Coast culture technology firm that provides solutions to the financial services sector, specifically covering the full spectrum of Wealth and Asset Management businesses.  

  

How you will provide meaningful contributions:  

•  Produce interactive digital interfaces using proprietary technology. 
•  Work with the design team and design tools (e.g., Figma, Invision, Sketch, etc.) to deliver new screens.  
•  Use visual design tools to prepare design files for build. 
•  Develop web functionality according to business and architecture requirements.  
•  Build for desktop, tablet, and mobile applications.  
•  Implement and optimize UX workflows.  
•  Participate in brainstorming and other idea-generating team sessions.  
•  Work with Project Manager to ensure project completion within budgetary and time constraints.  
•  Configure and customize existing products according to client specifications.  
•  Multi-task and work efficiently under pressure, with careful attention to detail.  
•  Work with the other team members in the project team to ensure deadlines are met.  
•  Participate in team stand-ups and provide updates on status of work items in progress.  
•  Build and run test cases to identify functional discrepancies. 
•  Assist QA and Support with debugging and proposed solutions.  
•  Utilize best practices to develop applications in a sustainable, scalable process.  
•  Multi-task and work efficiently under pressure, with careful attention to detail.  
•  Participate in the IC Mentorship program that provides guidance to Jr. Web Developers. 

  

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:  

•  2-3 years of experience in a commercial web development role. 
•  Basic knowledge of the financial services industry and a passion to learn more. 
•  Understanding of key design principles.  
•  Must demonstrate a passion for UX design and front-end implementation.  
•  Exceptional eye for detail, design-minded, with creative flair.  
•  Strong problem solving and analytical skills. 
•  Strong CSS, and general knowledge of HTML and JavaScript. 
•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
•  Self-start, organized, and accountable for high quality delivery.  
•  Ability to lead in a dynamic environment. 
•  Significant experience with Excel. 
•  Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.
